VENUE SPOTLIGHT: Blaine Stone Lodge {Dallas Wedding Venue}

The Blaine Stone Lodge is one of the newest venues in the DFW area. It is the perfect mix of rustic and chic. The outdoor area includes a gorgeous gazebo overlooking a lake. My favorite part? The windmill! So cool. Inside the reception hall has rusted corrugated metal accents, large open beams, and stunning crystal chandeliers. The side wall opens up to the outside making it the perfect mix of indoor and outdoor space. Here are a few favs from my recent visit:

VENUE SPOTLIGHT: Brake & Clutch {Dallas Wedding Venue}

I can sum up Brake & Clutch Warehouse in one word: OBSESSED!!!!! It’s a “gently” restored warehouse made into the most amazing wedding venue I’ve seen in Dallas. What I mean by “gently” restored is that they left all of the original charm (including the original interior paint from the 20s) but added all the modern luxuries (the bridal suite is to DIE FOR). It is located in the super artsy neighborhood of Deep Ellum (my tatoo artist is across the street :)). Did I mention the giant mural of blue elephants on the side of the building? Again, OBSESSED. I recently checked out this amazing new wedding venue. Here are some pics. Even when it’s not set-up for an event, it still looks amazing. Check it out:

Of course we had to bring our Photobooth On The Go with us!

Kat+Shannon: Catskill Wedding

Kat and Shannon are a true story of love, patience, and devotion. This was not the first wedding then planned. That wedding was abruptly put on hold when Kat was diagnosed with breast cancer. The couple spent the next three years battling cancer side by side. Kat has not only survived her battle, but is a thriving and full of vibrancy.

Despite living in LA, Kat and Shannon re-planned their wedding at the amazing Full Moon Resort in the Catskills area of New York. Their friends and family came from all over the country to celebrate their magical day. The ceremony was held in a majestic field my a stream. At one point, Kat was sobbing, and grabbed Shannon’s hand that held a tissue, and used it to dab her eyes. You can tell these two are not only lovers, wives, but also the best of friends.

The party afterwards was a fun filled evening filled with lots of love, embarrassing toasts, and dance floor silliness. The band, Silver Arrow Band, kept the guest on the dance floor until late into the evening.

The new addition to the Sherry Sutton Photography family, Photobooth On The Go, had her debut at the event. We even got to bring her right into the tent!

Here are a few favs from the day:

Devon+Andrew: Morris Museum NJ Wedding

Devon and Andrew are simply lovely. We had a great time taking their engagement pics with their adorable son at Liberty State Park in Jersey City NJ. Their wedding proved to be an event to remember! The ceremony was held at St. Lukes in Ho-ho-Kus, NJ. A glamorous and elegant reception was then held at the Morris Museum.

The wedding day colors were black and yellow. The bridesmaid wore the most ADORABLE yellow dresses by designer Dolly Pearl from Brooklyn. Each woman had her own style in the same yellow color… so cute. The guest tables had black table cloths with white flowers on top. It was classic and elegant. The couple’s guests partied like rock stars to the music of the Atomic Funk Project. They were amazing!
